The master of the board. The greatest producer in hip-hop history, who recently explained in an interview with fadertv that he is considering taking a break from hip-hop and expressed that in his 27 years of music he has only been away from the studio for two weeks. The two artist he stated to be working with is Kendrick Lamar and Slim the Mobster. Talent scouting has always been one of the most fascinating things about Dr. Dre's career and his ear for good talent. Whereas he has introduced acts such as Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem (the list goes on). Dr. Dre has also expressed that he is real particular about what he attaches his name to, how it is presented, and his image. In a recent interview with XXL Magazine Dre states that "I don't ever see myself retiring totally from music, because I have a genuine love and passion for it." We have to consider the recent interview with fadertv in soho NYC "I'm never gonna stop music, it's like air to me. I'm gonna take a little bit of a break, enjoy some time with the family." Dr. Dre joins forces with his longtime partner Interscope records founder Jimmy Iovine and audio-tech firm Monster Cable to create a line of studio quality headphones. Now we have a new line of Beats by Dr. Dre headphones that include new colors (pink, orange, purple, blue and grey); a Beats Wireless Solo Bluetooth model; the "Portable Beat Box," with built-in Bluetooth; and special DJ headphones.

Dre explains his interest in new outlets for him to be creative and his passion for trying to take over everything with a speaker. Till he gets that itch to get back in music we may never see his third album titled Detox that had previous release dates scheduled for this year. Having sold over a million pairs of earphones in the past two years, beats by Dre is expanding their product list. The company has partnership with Hewlett-Packard to get Beats Audio software into the HP envy line of laptop computers. Thanks to guys over at fadertv we got a chance to hear the latest updates on Dre and the anticipation for what's next. Alternatively 2001 was the last time the hip-hop world has embraced an album by Dr. Dre. You know, if this was any other artist, we'd simply have wrote them off because the hype for that particular artist probably has died out over the years. That's not the case with Dre who has seem to generate a constant buzz for his music. But this is not the end after all, and we can maybe learn to hold our breath long enough to hear fans going crazy once the album drops sometime in our near future.

So, if you can handle the wait and deal with the fact that doctor is not the least bit concerned with raging fans request and the eyebrow raising question everybody wants to know 'when is the Detox coming out? or will it ever come out? We'll just have to stay tuned and keep our fingers crossed this time. Dre has also expressed interest in going back to his roots and DeeJaying or just simply producing music.

Yes ... did we say DeeJay? yes the guys over at reached out to past N.W.A. affiliate/producer Cavie for his take on Dre's next move. Dre has expressed many times that he would like to do something different steering his career in new direction and of course allowing him to use his creative ideas in ways that would not be possible as an artist or producer, Dre is a big fan of all kinds of different music and has said that Jay Z is one of his favorite's who helps keep alive the type of music he loves to do.

As a producer he is credited as a key figure in the popularization of West Coast Music, a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-based with slow, heavy beats.

Dr. Dre has also had acting roles, starring in movies such as Set It Off, and the 2001 films The Wash and Training Day. Aside from everything dre is doing, it'll be interesting to see what the Doc has in store next, we may just get what the doctor ordered!
